EVITA ARCE (Õ98) graduated from the University of Texas with degrees in Theatre and  Radio/Television/Film. She worked as a production intern in Los Angeles before moving to the Big Apple.  She was a finalist on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance. JORDAN ARREDONDO ('00) has relocated to the LA area where he is trying to make a

break into the film industry both as a writer and an actor.  He is currently developing a screenplay about the late Ron Crumpton. TRACY AUSTRIA (ST DIC) (Õ03) A former Senior Director and Vice-President of the Starlight

Theatre Company, Tracy Jane Austria graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  After researching the growing Arts Movement and TheatreWorks National Theatre in Singapore (2004), followed by study and an internship in a childrenÕs theatre in London (2005), Tracy recognized her desire for a career in arts advocacy and education outreach at a national level. Currently, Tracy taught kindergarten for Teach America in New York and married a fellow UNC alum.  They have now relocated to California.

ROBERT BRADLEY ('02) received a Theatre Design degree from Baylor University in 2006 and married STEPHANIE BROWNING in May, 2006.. He has traveled to Prague, Czech Republic to attend the Quadrennial, an international theatre design conference. RANDALL BROWN graduated from a high school in South Dakota in 1993 after his

JEREMY DUNN (Õ94) recently returned to Austin and completed his masterÕs in English at Texas State and his teaching certification to teach English at the secondary level.  He is married to Jessica, who is a kindergarten teacher in Pflugerville.  Lately, his artistic life has swung towards music since he has his own electronic studio and has been working on some lyrics and dance oriented music to achieve ultimate success and $$. ELIZA ELLIOTT (Õ02) graduated from St. EdwardÕs University in Austin. Her original

play, HARVEST WOMEN, had a staged reading at the 2002 International Thespian

Society Convention and won a Texas Educational Theatre Association Playwriting

and is working as a speech-language pathologist for a private practice called Pegasus Quest that serves the pediatric population. RYAN GEE (Õ95) was the first of the Gee family to graduate from Bowie when the

family moved here from Missouri. He served as a missionary for his church in Italy for two years before graduating from Brigham Young University. He received his Masters from the University of Texas, and Bowie scooped him back up.  He is now the assistant choir director at Bowie and works with Sheryl Jones.  He married in July 2008 and is now the busy stepfather to two girls.

 

SCOTT GEE (Õ02) graduated with a degree in business from the University of Texas and is going to travel the world as a representative for John Deere.

 

TIFFANY GEE (Õ98) graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in

Journalism. She worked for a newspaper in Miami, Florida until she her husband and THREE kids moved back to Austin so that her husband could attend graduate school at UT.  She is now babysitting the Gee family home in Circle C while dad works in Detroit and caring for her fourth boy.

 

JEFFREY GONZALES (Ô94) attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art for a

time and supported himself as a bartender while working in the New York theatre. He made his Òall-thereÓ appearance in an Off-Broadway play but made a lot of money in a national commercial for Sprint. He has recently relocated in Los Angeles and is trying to get things going there.  He lives in the same neighborhood as Steve Sjolseth.

 

DYLAN HENDERSON (Õ00) was on the three-year plan at McLennan Community

College and spent his summers working at Kent State University as a technician for their summer repertory program. He worked as a theatrical technician for the Royal Caribbean cruise ship line, finished his degree in Lighting Design at Texas State University. MATT HUMPHREY ('00) graduated from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU in

2004 and frequently played opposite fellow-Bowie graduate VIRGINIA KULL. He interned at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre   In the fall of 2006, he played Claudio in a Rep production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. HOLLI HILL (Õ90) was BowieÕs first Senior Director. She graduated from the University

of Texas with a degree in government and worked as an intern in Washington, D.C. for a time. She was also a lobbyist to the Texas State Legislature for the small college system.  She is currently a pharmaceutical company representative and has now moved her base back to Austin  and is enjoying being a new mom.

 

GWENDOLYN KELSO (Õ98) graduated from Webster University after several

performances with the St. Louis Repertory Theatre. After a stint at the Pittsburgh

Shakespeare Festival, she moved to Chicago to study and perform. She has moved back to Austin for a while to help her dad get the childrenÕs theatre company going at Scottish Rite Temple.  She now works for Zachary Scott Theatre and can be seen in many local productions. VIRGINIA KULL ('00) graduated from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU in 2004

and worked at the Dallas Shakespeare Festival that summer. She has since moved to New York and has performed at regional theatres in North Carolina and New York. She now has an agent and was recently cast in an off-Broadway production with REGAN THOMPSON.  She made her Broadway debut in a Horton Foote play in the fall of 2008 and married an actor is May 2009.

SUSANNA LEAR (FLETCHER) (Õ96) is married to a policeman and is now the mother

of three. She graduated from the University of Texas and taught journalism and English for a time at Small Middle School before the birth of her first child. She was co-founder of Piece of Cake, a company that baked and decorated cakes for special occasions in Austin, but has now become a full-time mom.

She and NELSON FLORES cofounded a production company, and she returned to Bowie to direct as an alumni in 2000.

 

FRANK NIETO (Õ00) graduated with a degree in Lighting Design at West Texas A&M

University. He has worked on the summer outdoor musical production, TEXAS, there.  Last we heard, he was planning to attend graduate school at SMU.

NICHOLAS RODRIGUEZ (Õ95) received his Master of Music degree from the

University of Texas.  He has toured Europe performing in musicals and was a performer on a cruise line for two years.  He has performed around the country as Jesus in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and Che in EVITA.  Most recently he appeared in TARZAN on Broadway. STEVEN SJOLSETH (Õ93), known professionally as STEVE BAKKEN, graduated from

Southern Methodist University and works in Los Angeles theatres. MATT ZREBSKI (Õ91) graduated from the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern

Methodist University (summa cum laude) with a BFA in Acting, Directing, and

Playwriting. Portland in 1997. His email address is watersongz@gmail.com. Post

graduation, Matt immediately took over the Dallas, TX summer company, Youth Could Know Theatre, where he acted as co-Artistic Director, changing the company's mission statement to only produce new works by young upcoming writers. In his 3 year tenure, he produced 7 world premieres and received a Best of Dallas award for innovative theatre. While still in Texas, Matt also began to gain recognition as a composer, scoring numerous plays including Twelfth Night for the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas and a raw, rock and roll version of Mother Courage and Her Children for the Margo Jones Theatre.  Once in Portland, Matt began working off and on with Stark Raving Theatre (SRT), directing 1999's Prometheus Bound which earned 4 Drammy Awards including one for his score. He also worked extensively on installments of the New Rave New Works Festival and in 2000, musical directed Goblin Market. From 2001 to 2002, Matt served as Associate Artistic Director for SRT, rewriting the mission statement to only produce new work and revamping the internal structure of the company to employ a group of

resident production artists. In 2002, Matt was promoted to Artistic Director, a position he maintains today. In this time, Matt has directed, written, and scored numerous productions and continues to outreach both locally and nationally for the best of new works. His plays, The Planet Me, Neck, A Place Called Timothy, Parts, Darkstep and Dawning, After the Zipper, and Ablaze have been produced in the Dallas, Texas and/or Portland areas. He is a two-time recipient of the Rosenfield Playwriting award. Matt also has a rich background in youth education. From 1994 to 1998, he was the director for the Teen and Kids Musical Theatre Workshops at SMU. He has also worked at numerous high schools both in Texas and Portland, serving often as a director, writer, vocal coach and teacher of various theatre disciplines. Currently, he is on staff at John Robert Powers Modeling and Talent School where he teaches acting, voice and diction, and improvisation to teens and children. He is also with Literary Arts, teaching through their Writers in the Schools program and serves as an instructor of playwriting for Portland Center Stage's Visions and Voices.
