CLASS RULES:

1. Students must bring scripts, pen, and all materials needed for class each day. Last minute trips to the locker affect rehearsals and group projects.

3. Promptness is expected. Students who come late to class affect rehearsals. Students who come late are responsible for getting instructions without interrupting others who are already working.
4. Students are expected to work in class until the bell rings for the next class. If the bell rings while the instructor is talking, students are expected to wait until the discussion is finished before leaving.
5. Littering or tampering with room decorations, furnishings, costumes, or props in the theatre or classroom will not be tolerated.
6. At all times, students will be expected to demonstrate the utmost respect for all other individuals in the classroom. Students must always be a courteous audience.
7. Students are required to participate in all class activities.
8. Extra time can be arranged with the senior directors if more rehearsal is needed.

PARTICIPATION in the Bowie Starlight Theatre production program is not required but is strongly encouraged so that students may exhibit the skills that they will learn in this class. Students in this class work very closely with the senior directors, most of whom have grown up in the theatre program at Bowie. Each of the directors will be eligible to direct and produce a thirty-minute scene or one-act in the Black Box performance space during the fall semester and a full one-act in the theatre in May.
